More passengers and cargo at Sofia Airport in November

Passengers

November tends to be one of the worst months for air transport but still Sofia Airport reported a total of 263 564 arriving and departing passengers – 4.7 % more than data reported last year.

Passengers on international scheduled flights for the period were 251 140 (+5%), the largest increase in transported passengers, as compared to November 2013, being achieved by Wizz Air, Lufthansa, LOT, Turkish Airlines, Qatar Airways, and British Airways.

Snow White and the dwarfs had fun and danced with the children and Santa Clause was invited to come first to the airport again next year

7.5% more passengers compared to last October

Passengers

In October Sofia Airport serviced a total of 320 117 arriving and departing passengers at both airport terminals achieving a 7.5% increase on annual basis. Airlines operating from Terminal 2 serviced 62 % of airport passenger flow, while the remaining 33 % used Terminal 1.

Bulgarian aviation club opened at Sofia Airport

Today Sofia Airport opened a Bulgarian aviation club with a museum exhibition. The initiative for its establishment came from the Ministry of Transport, Information Technology and Communications, Sofia Airport, Bulgarian Airlines Association, BULATSA, Bulgarian Civil Aviation Veterans Alliance and Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association – Bulgaria.

Deputy Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Georgi Todorov opened the club together with its founders and greeted the multiplicity of veterans who attended the event.
