Forty young plane trees donated by Turkish Airlines will already welcome passengers arriving at Sofia Airport Terminal 2. The initiative was set up as part of the socially responsible corporate policy for environmental protection and aesthetic design of outdoor area.

Strong first trimester of 2015 for Sofia Airport
Passengers
During the first three months of the year Sofia Airport serviced a total of 866 786 departing and arriving passengers achieving a 4.6 % increase as compared to the first trimester of 2014.

From and to Sofia Airport by metro
As of today passengers, visitors and employees of Sofia Airport have one more option of travelling to and from the airport. Sofia metro connects Sofia Airport to the central city areas and some of the large residential complexes from 5:30 a.m. to midnight on weekdays and weekends/holidays.
Sofia Airport passengers can also enjoy the convenience of travelling to Sofia Central Bus and Railway Stations by using the connections provided by the metro line.

To Sofia Airport by metro
Now passengers can travel from the city centre to Sofia Airport in less than 20 minutes. Four new stations provide convenient and fast connection to Central Railway and Bus Stations. The metro line also provides better access to airport park area.
Sofia Airport Summer Schedule
The Summer Flight Schedule of Sofia Airport comes into effect on 29 March. It offers direct flights to 50 different cities in Europe and Middle East. Over 10 500 flights are scheduled for the summer season. Twenty-two airlines will operate scheduled flights to the Bulgarian capital city.
Every day two airlines offer convenient connection from Sofia Airport to Vienna with 34 flights per week.
The flights to London, the most popular destination, equal to 31 per week. Passengers can choose between four air carriers and three airports.
