Bulgarian airline GullivAir based its third Airbus A330 aircraft at Sofia Airport. The welcome ceremony was attended by the management of SOF Connect - Jacques Feron, Executive Director, Henning Pfisterer, Operation Director and Christian Stoschek, Transformation Director, as well as representatives of the airline and the aviation community.
The carrier operates flights with its three A330 aircraft to the Dominican Republic and the Maldives. The airline plans to launch direct flights to USA, Canada and India.
GullivAir will use its three ATR 72 aircraft based on the airport to carry passengers from countries close to Bulgaria, and then with the A330 aircraft they will travel across the Ocean for intercontinental flights.
In line with this are the efforts of SOF Connect management to turn Sofia Airport into a Regional Hub.
