After a 3-year interruption, passengers from Sofia again can fly directly to the capital city of Hungary.
Traditionally, the first flight from Budapest was welcomed with a water cannon salute.
The new air service connecting the two European capitals is operated by Embraer 190 (C8M100) aircraft of airline Bulgaria Air offering the scheduled flights on the route. The flights from and to Budapest are operated four times a week at Terminal 2.
The air service is the 55th destination to which the largest Bulgarian airport offers year-round direct flights connecting Sofia to European and Middle East cities.
