With jazz and classical music the largest international airport surprised its passengers on the National Enlighteners Day – 1 November. The atrium space at Terminal 2 public zone was livened up by the performance of “Sofia” jazz formation. The musical works of some of the greatest jazzmen were played such as Billy Cobham, Freddie" Hubbard, Herbie" Hancock, Wayne Shorter, Steps Ahead and John Scofield. Also rock, blues, “bossa nova” and disco music by Boney M was played raising the spirits in the hall and drawing the public’s applause.
Earlier that day, “Eolina” quartet performed for the passengers at Terminal 1 musical works by Mozart, Schrasuss, Strauss, Dmitry Bortniansky and passing through the magic of waltz music the public was taken to the world of argentine tango of Piazzolla and the ragtime of Scott Joplin.
