NICE

Nice is a city in Southeast France, Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region. The city is an important tourist center at the Mediterranean Sea.

The main square "Massena" built in 1835 can be seen at the city center. The old district of the city is to the east of it, the so-called Old Nice, famous for its narrow curved streets and numerous restaurants where you can taste the specialties of the local cuisine. Since the beginning of the 20th century, Englishmen began coming for a holiday to the city and spending the whole winter in Old Nice. There were so many of them that the famous 7-kilometre coastal street was called the Promenade des Anglais.

Every year from 13 to 25 February, the famous Nice carnival takes place. It is associated with the masquerade processions, including: flower parade, soirees and concerts gathering over 1.2 million viewers.

In Nice, you can find small provincial squares where you can sit for hours with a cup of coffee, but you will also find parks, cathedrals and famous museums such as the Matisse Museum (Musée Matisse), the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art (Musée d'art Moderne et d'art Contemporain) and the Musée National Message Biblique Marc-Chagall.
