Ljubljana is the main cultural, administrative, economic and financial centre of Slovenia.

In its place there was a Roman settlement called Emona, which was under the raids of various Hunnic tribes. The city is located in the central part of the country, near the outflow of the Ljubljanica River into the Sava River.

It is obligatory for tourists to have a walk along the promenade of Ljubljanica River. Within several metres from the river, in the ideal center, one of the most famous old temples can be seen – the Franciscan Church of the Annunciation. In front of it there is another attraction in the city – the famous "Three Bridges".
